Design Committee: Means getting downtown into top physical shape through an inviting atmosphere via window displays, safer parking areas, sidewalks, signage, and landscaping to convey a physical message about what downtown has to offer.

The Design Committee meets the 1st Thursday of the month in the Council Room at the Skowhegan Municipal Building at 5:00 p.m.

What's New with the Design Committee

The Design Committee has been very busy this year and have recently completed their 2008 Work Plan.

Below you will find some of their objectives. They will continue to work with the Town to implement the beautification plan by the;

Installation of benches, tree grates and frames
Obtain bids for more trees and tree guards
Traffic Island containers, plantings- annuals and perennials.
